This one's for the girls!!!
Well, I wrote my last post about things that make me happy, and my sister Whitney commented that I forgot to mention her. So while I did mention that I have a great family that supports me, I will make this post about my sisters...
Our famiy isn't really a physically or verbally affectionate family. We know we love each other, but we don't really say it often. And when we do, it has to be in a joking way so we don't feel funny doing it. But, I moved out here to Indiana, my good-bye's with my sisters were very tearful. I miss them very much (of course I miss my parents and brother just as much...but this one's for the girls remember?).
My sister Christie is great! She has a super cute family...2 girls and 2 boys. She's a great mom too...if I can be as patient and loving as she is, then I will be doing an incredible job at being a mother myself! She's had some difficult times the past few months, but she is firm and immovable and her faith never waivered.
Danielle is 5 years younger than me, and we weren't ever really close growing up, but we've gotten a lot closer over the past 5 years...and I am really glad (although she does think I am old and boring). She is going to college up in provo (or salt lake) and I enjoy watching her in her adventures. I think she feels some pressure to get married since both Christie and I married pretty young, but I just want her to enjoy her youth!!! She has a lot going for her.
Taisha just turned 16 and is probably enjoying her new freedom! Being almost 10 year younger than me, we didn't have a lot to bond over, but it changes as she gets older. She decided to take up dancing (which is just about my only talent)and when I lived in St. George, I got to help her in tryouts and stuff. It was really fun doing what I like doing....but funner when I was doing it with my sister. I'll be sad when I'm not there to help her when she needs it.
Whitney is 14 and (she will hate that I say this) reminds me of myself when I was her age. I can't believe she's only 14...she seems much older....or maybe I still feel like a teenager. Being so much like me, I hope she doesn't follow in my teenage footsteps...she can acheive a lot more than she realizes....and deserves it too.
Madison is the baby of the family...though she is 11 years old already (I think). She is very creative and is a really great aunt to all of her neices and nephews. The other day she called me "Just to Chat". It was really cute, and I realized that she is really growing up. She is intelligent and very ambitious.
So these are my sister whom I love! They have all had a part in making me who I am today and I thank them all for the happiness that they bring to me & my family. I miss you all and can't wait to see you when we come visit for Christmas....it makes me sad not being able to see everybody's day to day happenings. So, here's to THE GIRLS!!!!!!
Now, I do have one brother....and you can imagine how great he is after having to grow up with 6 sisters!!!!! So to Justin.....I love you too!
