Easton

Easton
Easton is the cutest little boy we know! He rightfully earned the nickname 'BEASTY' when he was a baby and it has stuck with him. He is such a sweet little mommy's boy and we are ALL at his Beck and call. Easton loves cars, snacks, and playing outside. He is talking up a storm and it seems like he learns something new every single day. He is at such a fun age. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this little guy!

Ainslee

Ainslee
Ainslee is the baby and she just turned ONE!! This child is a handful!!! She hasn't quite grown out of the difficult phase.....that she has been in since she was born, but we still find ways to find her sweet side! Hearing her baby giggles and watching her discover & learn new things make all the whininess......just a little easier to deal with. Aaaahhh, we love this Ainslee Girl!!

Avery

Avery
Oh our cute little Avery! With her blue eyes & blonde hair, she is one of the cutest 4 year olds around!! This girl is stubborn! She definitely keeps us on our toes. She is quite unpredictable, which makes for a lot of laughs! Avery is our TREAT-FREAK! We can always guess what is on her mind. My favorite thing about Avery is her smiles. She always has one for us no matter what and that makes everyones day just a little better. She attends preschool and says she doesn't like it, but secretly we know she does ;). We are so lucky to have this cute girl in our family! We can't get enough of her.

Kobe Dylan

Kobe Dylan
Kobe is our first child, born in 2004. He was 4 months early and weighed a whopping 1 lb. 4 oz.! We got to be with Kobe for 4 wonderful weeks. I feel so blessed to have been chosen to raise one of God's perfect children. We love him and thank Heavenly Father everyday that he is part of our family. We have a treasure in heaven.

Quinnlyn

Quinnlyn
Quinnie just turned 6! She is growing faster than we can keep up with! She loves going to first grade and is doing really well! She picks up on things very quickly and LOVES learning. She's seriously a sponge. Her favorite thing to do is write notes and draw pictures for her friends & family. You should see our continual stack of papers. Quinnlyn is creative & spunky & totally independant. We love her like crazy!

Our Trip Home...

It was a good one. Unfortunatley, it has come to an end. We flew home yesterday (New Year's Eve).
So here is our 'trip in review':
We arrived in Vegas on December 13th at 8:00 A.M where we met my family (yipee...I missed them). Quinnlyn was wonderful on the plane...Avery was okay for half and not okay for the other half. G & G took the girls to Build-a-Bear for an early X-mas present and we did a little shopping before driving to St. George. St. George was just how I left it...with a few new things. Indiana felt like a memory rather than a reality. Brett's brother got married on the 19th. We stayed at my parents house but stayed over in Enterprise a few nights...where it was coooold and snowy but Christmasy!!! Brett's mom had a Christmas party since the whole family was together (his sister lives in Florida and we are Indiana so that is rare). Santa came and we had a good time. My family had a couple of Christmas parties too and I was so glad to be there for those...they are such fun traditions.
On Christmas Eve we went to Brett's Grandparents house. We eat dinner, sing Christmas songs, read the Christmas story, open presents, and visit with family. It's one of those traditions that you see on a movie (where you look in the frosty window and see a big family laughing and enjoying the night before Christmas)....That sounds cheesy, but I love it!!! It was even snowing which made the night even better.
We spent Christmas morning at my parents house. Santa found us and the girls got everything they wanted. Quinnlyn got 'lot's of princesses' among other things and Avery got a Baby Alive...among other things too. We had a family breakfast and then Brett and Quinnlyn drove up to Enterprise to play basketball and I stayed 'home' to give Avery a much needed nap...and to play RockBand with my sisters. Later that night we went to my older sister's house for Christmas dinner.
We had such a great time (can I say that enough). I'm glad we weren't so busy that we couldn't enjoy ourselves. I spent a lot of time with my 14 year old sister Whitney...which was really fun. I know, here we are, 11 years apart and we got really close. Maybe she just hung out with me cuz none of her friends could 'play', but I am really glad. My other sisters were too busy for me but that's okay...I know they love me. We celebrated Brett's birthday a couple of times (which was on the
30th) and he got to go play golf with all his brothers (brother-in-law included), which I think was the highlight of his trip...he couldn't stop talking about it.
It was just as hard to say good-bye this time as it was in July, but at least this time I didn't get here to find unfamiliarity, boxes of our stuff piled up, and dog hair all over. And even better, no depression has kicked in. I miss everyone, but I'm good. And, it's good to be home...I just wish this home was a little closer to everyone elses home...or the other way around. HaHa.
Our plane ride was a surprisingly good one. Quinnlyn was good again and Avery slept for about half the trip...AND it took 30 minutes less than expected. The worst part about the whole trip home was the freakin' Taxi ride cost 43 bucks!!!! Holy Cow. That's insane. Oh yea, and our car wouldn't start (we parked it at our friends house for the 2 1/2 weeks that we were gone).
The girls had a nice homecoming surprise. They found a few presents under the tree (a trike and snowsuit for Avery, and a scooter and snowsuit for Quinnlyn). And of course the walk-in kitchen that Santa dropped off (He said it was much too big to bring home on the airplane). They absolutley love it! We let them play until 11:00 and then Brett and I celebrated the New Year by sitting on our bums and watching the ball drop on TV. Then we all slept in until 10:45...still on Utah time.
So, to all of you who were involved, Thanks for making our trip home so wonderful! We loved seeing you all and will miss you so much. See you when we see you!

Hey Kim, I'm glad you found my blog... I'm gonna add your blog to mine too. And I would have to agree, I think Grandma Cottam is looking pretty good in that picture we got with her! It sounds like you had a great trip to Utah last month, and I hope life is treating you okay in Indiana!
