I was thinking it has been awhile since I did a little update on us.
So, I guess we'll start with Brett.
A lot of people ask if he is ENJOYING school....and, I suppose he is as much as he can. I expected it to get a lot more time consuming for him near the end of the year (since the beginning of the year just seemed to relaxed), but it isn't. I can't say that I mind though. It's nice that we get to see him so often. He has assisted on me (while I got some cavities filled) several times and it is fun to actually see him 'at work'. He has a test every three weeks and still studies crazy hours...but it works for all of us!
Quinnlyn is about the same. She likes sleeping on the floor instead of in her bed and sometimes we find her sleeping with her cd player in here arms (like a teddy bear). She's still moving up on the reading thing...and I really should be better at working with her. We finally made it to the library to find some easy books for her to start reading....but they didn't have much of a selection for a Beginning reader. I just signed her up for preschool. She will go 4 days a week for 3 1/2 hours each day. I am not sure how I feel about that yet. I am strangely attached to my children. I want the break, but I have a hard time letting other people take care of my kids. But, I think it will be good for her....and me....and Avery too cuz she will get some one-on-one mommy time (which she rarely gets).
Avery is almost 2!!! Here are some things about her:
-Some of her favorite songs are: 'I Love to see the Temple'----'I am a child of God'--- and pretty much any primary song (her & Quinnlyn have SEVERAL memorized because we listen to a primary CD everytime we get in the car....ughhh)
-She stays in nursery by herself now
-She will only sleep with one blanket (her pink, green, & white one)
-I think she is scared of thunder & lightening. She's always saying, 'No Thunder....No lightening'
-Her favorite thing to eat is....nothing (or candy)
-She says 'bless you' if someone sneezes
-She has been potty trained for almost a month and a half and is only in diapers at night. The day we started potty training was the day we put her in a big girl bed & took away her binky. She made a very easy transition to all of it! I swore I wouldn't get this lucky with my second child since Quinnie was so easy too....but I did!
-She is ALWAYS smiling
-She insists on dressing herself (luckily she let's me pick out her clothes)
-She weighs 22 lbs. (well.....last time we went to the doctor....in January)
-She loves to do 'back-bends' & 'somersaults' with Quinnlyn
-She loves playing dress-up & pretending to be a princess
-She says hi to anyone she passes
-She counts to 10 & tries to count to 20 but misses a few numbers in between
-She's always begging someone to 'get her' (chase her)
-She thinks old people who talk to her are automatically G'pa or G'ma
And of course, there is me. I'm just here....being me....which isn't too bad....in fact.....I kind of enjoy it...so there!
The weather here is a bit bipolar. Cold for a few days and then warm for a few....currently we are experiencing rain, wind, & coldness. But, spring is definitely coming. My flowers are still popping up in random places, birds are chirping at 6 in the morning (not my favorite sound), and the grass is green.....Brett even mowed on Saturday.
Sorry no pictures on this one.
