Easton

Easton
Easton is the cutest little boy we know! He rightfully earned the nickname 'BEASTY' when he was a baby and it has stuck with him. He is such a sweet little mommy's boy and we are ALL at his Beck and call. Easton loves cars, snacks, and playing outside. He is talking up a storm and it seems like he learns something new every single day. He is at such a fun age. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this little guy!

Ainslee

Ainslee
Ainslee is the baby and she just turned ONE!! This child is a handful!!! She hasn't quite grown out of the difficult phase.....that she has been in since she was born, but we still find ways to find her sweet side! Hearing her baby giggles and watching her discover & learn new things make all the whininess......just a little easier to deal with. Aaaahhh, we love this Ainslee Girl!!

Avery

Avery
Oh our cute little Avery! With her blue eyes & blonde hair, she is one of the cutest 4 year olds around!! This girl is stubborn! She definitely keeps us on our toes. She is quite unpredictable, which makes for a lot of laughs! Avery is our TREAT-FREAK! We can always guess what is on her mind. My favorite thing about Avery is her smiles. She always has one for us no matter what and that makes everyones day just a little better. She attends preschool and says she doesn't like it, but secretly we know she does ;). We are so lucky to have this cute girl in our family! We can't get enough of her.

Kobe Dylan

Kobe Dylan
Kobe is our first child, born in 2004. He was 4 months early and weighed a whopping 1 lb. 4 oz.! We got to be with Kobe for 4 wonderful weeks. I feel so blessed to have been chosen to raise one of God's perfect children. We love him and thank Heavenly Father everyday that he is part of our family. We have a treasure in heaven.

Quinnlyn

Quinnlyn
Quinnie just turned 6! She is growing faster than we can keep up with! She loves going to first grade and is doing really well! She picks up on things very quickly and LOVES learning. She's seriously a sponge. Her favorite thing to do is write notes and draw pictures for her friends & family. You should see our continual stack of papers. Quinnlyn is creative & spunky & totally independant. We love her like crazy!

Here it is.....

Well, Some of you know....and some of you don't.....and some of you THINK you knew, but didn't have any real proof...so here's the announcement:

I AM PREGGERS!!

I am due in April of 2010 (April 18 to be exact) and we are pretty excited. It's been a rough couple of months though....so let me fill you in (in case your were interested).

Month #1 I knew I was pregnant before I even tested. That freaked me out a bit....a lot a bit.

Month #2 I felt great for the first half but predicted that at 6 weeks I would get sick. On day one of week 6 I felt sick. Predictable I suppose.

Month #3 I was miserable, the house was a mess, & you could find me on the couch most of the day. Brett took over dinners & cleaning & taking care of the girls when he got home from school. I tried several different things to take my nausea away, but nothing worked. That was new to me.

Month #4 I started feeling better. I could eat food & even open the fridge without dry-heaving. Things were looking up.

Last week my energy & motivation finally returned. Thank-goodness. I'm sure Brett was wondering when I was going to start doing something around here.

I've had a few ultrasounds & everything looks good so far. Here are some pics (not great quality because my scanner doesn't work):

BABY BLOB @ 9 WEEKS

BABY @ 13 WEEKS

And at 13 weeks we found out.....

That's right....and here is the proof:

Pretty definite huh?
He wanted me to know early so I could start getting use to the fact that I will not be having any bows or bracelets or pink etc. I'm a little sad about that, but I'm getting use to the idea. Plus, now is the perfect time for a boy. Quinnie & Avery are buddies & a 3rd girl might have been left out. Not to mention we don't need anymore drama/sensitivity in this house....I'm hoping a boy will be a little easier (and that is what I am told). I'm glad I had two girls first though.

Here's BABY BOY @ 15 weeks just hangin' out.

And here's our confirmation that yes....he really is a HE. This is 17 weeks (yesterday). We also found out that I have a SUPER long cervix....most of you don't care about that & have no idea how relieved that makes me....but it is a very good thing for a person who is high risk for the reason I am. We hope it stays long.

I have another Ultrasound next week which is the 'OFFICIAL' one and I assume there will be a few more within the next 10-12 weeks. I start progesterone shots at 20 weeks which will help prevent preterm labor...Brett gets the honor of giving those to me (in the rear).

As far as my doctor goes....I think I like him. It's always hard to switch doctors, & I really just went blind on this one. The good news is I deliver at a really nice hospital (that provides spa services)....the bad news is that it takes about 30 minutes to get there. That's bad news because with Avery I delivered in 1 1/2 hours from the time my water broke....so I will be booking it to labor & delivery at the first sign I have.

Quinnlyn & Avery are pretty excited. Avery is always talking about 'Your baby'....she likes to rub my belly & can't wait to feel it kick. I'm surprised she understands it all. When I was pregnant with Avery, Quinnlyn seemed to have no idea. I expected Quinnie to talk about it more this time...but she doesn't. Maybe when she feels him kick it will be more real to her.

So that's the news. Let's hope the next 5 months are uneventful.

Oh yea....and here's a picture of my belly @ 16 weeks (because it bugs me that no one ever posts pregger pictures). Funny thing is that some days I am bigger than others....must be bloated ;)

SWEET doggie dog!! I was just telling Nick this week, how I wouldn't be surprised if you were prego...however I NEVER expected you to be this far along and not TELL ME!!! OUCH! (That's why you have been ignoring me...)

Congrats on the GREAT news and on the timing, just how you wanted it. (Your good at the timing thing!) I am BEYOND thrilled you guys are having a boy. Glad you are feeling better, and I can't wait to see you guys soon! Best of luck!

Kim.... Yeah for you. I thought you weren't going to venture into the madness but I see you have been blind. Kidding. I love having 3 kids. It has been easier than 2 for me. Sorry you were so sick. And how ridiculous is your belly. You really can't even tell your pregnant. I am so excited your having another boy. I love that in boy ultrasounds the legs are always open so you can have a clear view of their junk. It doesn't ever change it seems. And yes I would agree that boys are oh so much easier than girls. They are just less picky about, well, everything. Do you have plans of coming to Utah? I will be in SG til May.

Oh, I didn't "think" I knew...I knew I knew...ha ha!! We're super excited for you guys! You should have let the girls come over and play while you didn't feel good. I home all day anyway, and most days I have Aspen and Sierra home during the day to help me out. Please let them come over and play if you have any more sick days or if you have a Dr's appt that you don't want to take them to. Seriously! Anyways, we are truly excited that you're having a boy. Mine isn't exactly easier, though.

I'm glad you finally announced this, now we can talk about it. I guess I haven't known too long... but yeah a BOY! I am really excited for you. Hope you're feeling better, and let me know if there's anything I can do for you! Oh, by the way I had to travel 40 minutes to see my obgyn dr. and hospital, but it was totally worth it, I loved my doctor and I plan to use her again.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so excited for you and your family! I found out Brett had told Andrew last week, but I had thought maybe you were before than. But how do you ask someone that?!?! :) I'm sorry you had a rough month or so. You should have called me. I could have helped watch your girls. If you get that way again, or just need some time to nap, send the girls my way. Seriously. Also, I know we didn't end up needing you to watch our kids as we went to the hospital, but I would love to watch yours if you need someone to when you go to the hospital. We live so close, we really should use each other more! :) Seriously, let me know if I can do anything to help! Congrats again!
