Easton

Easton
Easton is the cutest little boy we know! He rightfully earned the nickname 'BEASTY' when he was a baby and it has stuck with him. He is such a sweet little mommy's boy and we are ALL at his Beck and call. Easton loves cars, snacks, and playing outside. He is talking up a storm and it seems like he learns something new every single day. He is at such a fun age. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this little guy!

Ainslee

Ainslee
Ainslee is the baby and she just turned ONE!! This child is a handful!!! She hasn't quite grown out of the difficult phase.....that she has been in since she was born, but we still find ways to find her sweet side! Hearing her baby giggles and watching her discover & learn new things make all the whininess......just a little easier to deal with. Aaaahhh, we love this Ainslee Girl!!

Avery

Avery
Oh our cute little Avery! With her blue eyes & blonde hair, she is one of the cutest 4 year olds around!! This girl is stubborn! She definitely keeps us on our toes. She is quite unpredictable, which makes for a lot of laughs! Avery is our TREAT-FREAK! We can always guess what is on her mind. My favorite thing about Avery is her smiles. She always has one for us no matter what and that makes everyones day just a little better. She attends preschool and says she doesn't like it, but secretly we know she does ;). We are so lucky to have this cute girl in our family! We can't get enough of her.

Kobe Dylan

Kobe Dylan
Kobe is our first child, born in 2004. He was 4 months early and weighed a whopping 1 lb. 4 oz.! We got to be with Kobe for 4 wonderful weeks. I feel so blessed to have been chosen to raise one of God's perfect children. We love him and thank Heavenly Father everyday that he is part of our family. We have a treasure in heaven.

Quinnlyn

Quinnlyn
Quinnie just turned 6! She is growing faster than we can keep up with! She loves going to first grade and is doing really well! She picks up on things very quickly and LOVES learning. She's seriously a sponge. Her favorite thing to do is write notes and draw pictures for her friends & family. You should see our continual stack of papers. Quinnlyn is creative & spunky & totally independant. We love her like crazy!

We are boring...

BRETT-
He took the first part of his boards a few weeks ago and did great! We are definitely glad that is out of the way. School & his church calling are keeping him busy, but he does manage to find time to hang out with us ;). Test weeks are his busiest times, but luckily they only happen once a month (on Fridays) so we try to deal with it without complaining too much. Still, on most days he is home no later than 5:00.

QUINNLYN & AVERY-
Not a whole lot going on with them. They are enjoying Grandma Jones' attention and most likely driving her crazy a little. Unfortunately, between me being on bedrest & the crappy, freezing weather we have here, we don't get out a whole lot.I am determined to make it up to them once we can walk outside without freezing our buns off...which will be a while. Quinnie is counting down the days until her birthday. She's very excited. Avery has grown a little attitude recently. Both the girls realize they can get away with a whole lot more since they know I won't be chasing them to their rooms if they do something wrong. It's a little frustrating to say the least.
We have been having Quinnlyn Sleep on the top bunk bed in Avery's room since G'ma got here. I knew it was going to take a while for them to get use to it, but they are still not getting the hang of it. We put them to bed at 7:30 and they are still running around by 9:00. So then we have to move Quinnlyn to another room so they can fall asleep separately. If they do happen to fall asleep in the same room, they wake up at about 7:30 a.m and start running around again. And that is UNACCEPTABLE! Who knows what the room situations will be once the baby gets here.

ME-
Speaking of baby.....will this pregnancy EVER end??????? Not that I want him to come early, but I just NEED the weeks to go by a little (or a lot) quicker. I think the bedrest depression is setting in (along with a mild case of 'the winter blues). Here is my typical day:
-Wake up
-Shower
-Get dressed (in P.J's)
-Do the girls' hair (if it's especially unruly)
-Breakfast
-COUCH
-lunch
-COUCH
-Nap time
-COUCH
-Dinner
-COUCH
-TV
-Bedtime
My couch time usually consists of the internet, the occasional book, and that's about it. I am SOOOOOOO bored!!!!! I've been letting myself get up more often because I just need to do something (anything) for myself. I still don't lift things, or stand for too long, or do any cleaning and such, but it gives me a little sanity to make my own lunch ya know? Depending on my doctor's appointment tomorrow, I may ask him to re-evaluate this bedrest thing. If my cervix is still around 3.0 cm, I might assume that I could be put on moderate activity...but that would all depend on my contractions I guess. It's worth a shot.
I might have a baby name poll soon. Brett and I CANNOT come up with any names that we really LOVE. Boy names are just not as cute as girl ones. I have one in mind...but can't convince Brett of it....and am still not even sure if I LOVE it enough to give it to my child for the rest of his life. It's a scary thing to know that we are basically going to have to just 'settle' on a name. What if I end up hating it after a few months. Feel free to throw out some suggestions (in fact, please please help)

That's it. The Jones family is a little boring these days. PLUS....no pictures. BOO!

Oh man... I'm sorry you are on bed rest. That would be really hard. But it's definetly the best thing. So how much longer do you have (I don't see a baby ticker)? And... were you on bedrest with Avery? I don't remember that if you were. Good luck at your Dr's appt.

I admire your strength... I don't know how you do it. Thank goodness for mom's that can help!

As for baby names, it is so hard! We had to rule out all the "-son" names because of our last name (Jackson, Addison, Harrison, etc.) and clearly we had no creativity since my son is a junior! ha ha

All kidding aside, I like traditional names like Henry, but Josh refused to let me name him that. Come on, HANK could be his nickname!

I couldn't even imagine being on bed rest!! My first 10 weeks of pregnancy I just laid in bed and over the toilet and that was boring enough for me. But where you have the energy and WANT to get up...that would be extremely hard to deal with!! So way to go thus far, and I hope you don't have to deal with this for the rest of your pregnancy!!

I am so glad to hear "Grandma Jones" it out there helping. I had no idea she was coming. Hopefully that has been a HUGE help for you. Best of luck Kim.

Sounds like my girls. A couple of times a week Kaitlyn is put in our room to fall asleep only to be moved to her bed when we go to bed . . only to end up in our bed anyway!
I am thinking of putting Kaitlyn and Jake in the same room if it doesn't get better. We'll see.
Names: I like a few but are "popular" names so I don't know how you'd feel about them.
Drew, Nathan, Bryce, (but you can't have a Bryce Jones, just ask Gma). Carter, Ethan. So what name are you thinking?

Let us know how the appt. goes! All McKay and I had picked out for the longest time were boy names then we found out it was a girl and it's been tough for us to think of any we really like! We have a few in mind we are just waiting to see her sweet face to see what fits!
So good luck on the name thing, it's hard!

sorry you are so bored! just remember how worth it it is! i would do it for 9 months in a heartbeat right now if i had to to get a baby. im sure i would get bored and depressed too. i heard that dr's only put you on bedrest to cover there butts and it doesn't really help all that much but who knows right? im sure it helps

oh yeah. i think the big baby thing is partially because my sister in law gained 60 lbs and wasn't on bedrest. i think where our population is getting more ok with being overweight maybe that has something to do with it? just a guess

Ouch! Bedrest does not sound fun at all... I do not envy you.
On the flipside, VERY fun that you are having a boy after 2 girls! I am preggers with a girl after 2 boys, so we are opposite. I loved naming my boys... but I think that the gender flip might be a part of why you are having a hard time, LOL! We'd probably have had a hard time with our girl too if we weren't doing a family name.
In any case, it looks like you kind of like unique names...

There is a little boy in my son's class who is named Malachi (Mal-Uh-Ky). It's a name that I'd never heard before... but I sort of like it.

Kim, hopefully you are doing well adn the Dr will let you move around a little. I was only on bed rest for a week and that was torture for me. I can't imagine doing it for longer. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
Baby names; I've had a hard time with boy names as well. I have to say, I like the Corbin suggestion though. :) Have you gotten a baby name book to go through? I have one you could borrow if you'd like. We used it with Emily to come up with her middle name. I don't think we would have even thought of Drew for a girls name without it. We had been leaning towards Kate before I went through the book. If you want it, let me know and I'll drop it by.
