Easton

Easton
Easton is the cutest little boy we know! He rightfully earned the nickname 'BEASTY' when he was a baby and it has stuck with him. He is such a sweet little mommy's boy and we are ALL at his Beck and call. Easton loves cars, snacks, and playing outside. He is talking up a storm and it seems like he learns something new every single day. He is at such a fun age. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this little guy!

Ainslee

Ainslee
Ainslee is the baby and she just turned ONE!! This child is a handful!!! She hasn't quite grown out of the difficult phase.....that she has been in since she was born, but we still find ways to find her sweet side! Hearing her baby giggles and watching her discover & learn new things make all the whininess......just a little easier to deal with. Aaaahhh, we love this Ainslee Girl!!

Avery

Avery
Oh our cute little Avery! With her blue eyes & blonde hair, she is one of the cutest 4 year olds around!! This girl is stubborn! She definitely keeps us on our toes. She is quite unpredictable, which makes for a lot of laughs! Avery is our TREAT-FREAK! We can always guess what is on her mind. My favorite thing about Avery is her smiles. She always has one for us no matter what and that makes everyones day just a little better. She attends preschool and says she doesn't like it, but secretly we know she does ;). We are so lucky to have this cute girl in our family! We can't get enough of her.

Kobe Dylan

Kobe Dylan
Kobe is our first child, born in 2004. He was 4 months early and weighed a whopping 1 lb. 4 oz.! We got to be with Kobe for 4 wonderful weeks. I feel so blessed to have been chosen to raise one of God's perfect children. We love him and thank Heavenly Father everyday that he is part of our family. We have a treasure in heaven.

Quinnlyn

Quinnlyn
Quinnie just turned 6! She is growing faster than we can keep up with! She loves going to first grade and is doing really well! She picks up on things very quickly and LOVES learning. She's seriously a sponge. Her favorite thing to do is write notes and draw pictures for her friends & family. You should see our continual stack of papers. Quinnlyn is creative & spunky & totally independant. We love her like crazy!

34.5 weeks and still going

Here I am @ 34 weeks.....in all my chubby glory!!! (am I really posting this picture??)

I had an appointment today. I'm not sure why he decided to check me, but he did, and I am 60% effaced and a little dilated. I say a little because I don't really understand what he was saying. First he said I am 1-2 cm dilated...then a bit later he said "you're not dilated". He explained that I just don't have a whole lot of integrity to my cervix at this point. It is dilated at the bottom, but still closed at the top (where the baby is) so I'm still holding the baby in ;). He also said once I do go into labor, it will most likely be very quick. So, yes I am starting the process, but no worries on my side or the doctors. I will be 35 weeks on Sunday. Ideally I'd like to make it to 37 weeks.

I stopped taking my meds for the contractions....it hasn't made a difference. I still get about 6 to 8 in an hour (more if we are in the car & Brett is driving in his maniac way). Brett will give me one last shot of progesterone on Sunday---that might gets it's own special blog post!! I am not taking bedrest too seriously anymore. I do put my feet up, and I don't do anything too strenuous such as major cleaning or exercising, but I am up a lot more.

Brett's mom went home yesterday. It's a little weird being on our own again....after 10 weeks, we got pretty use to having her around. We are so grateful that she put her life on hold to come out and help us.

The baby (who still has no name) is squirming more instead of kicking. He sometimes makes it up into my ribs, but not often. Instead he pushes into my hip bones...which is an interesting sensation. He is on a predictable schedule in there. His most active times are 7-8 a.m, 12-2 p.m, and 8-11 p.m. He also has great hearing! He gets startled by loud noises at least 3 times a day. I hope that doesn't mean he will be a light sleeper.

My friend threw me a baby shower last Saturday which was way fun! I got a lot of cute things and we ate yummy food. It was so nice of her to do that for me (Thanks Jennalee).

And that is all. I could be pregnant for 5 more weeks, or I could have a baby sooner. It's kind of crazy to know it could happen anytime.

Kim, there is no chubbiness there! You look absoluetely great! We are so glad you have been able to make it this far in your pregnancy. I hope you are able to get your way and make it to 37 weeks. That gives you more time to come up with a name. :)

I think he means that your cervix is measuring 1-2 cm in length, which is short, but probably fine for this late on. With my twins my cervix started thinning considerably by 22 weeks. At that point it was measuring 1.8cm, and lessening from then on. At that time (22 weeks) it should measure around 4, so it was less than half of what it should have been.

Congrats on only one more shot! I HATED those!!! Your butt feels bruised for a week and by the time it feels better you have to do the other side! I hope you make it to as long as you want! I know at the end it's a lot easier to say, Okay, I feel ready now, let's just get it over with!

Are you planning on doing this one natural then? If so I am so excited to hear how everything goes. But hang in there for a couple more weeks! You look great and it has to feel good to be able to get up and move around more.
