This week has been great. I haven't been too tired, and life pretty much feels normal except we have a cute little boy to enjoy!
Easton eats just about every 2 hours. He sleeps quite a bit but usually manages to wake up right on time to eat. He still struggles a bit with nursing. I think he got confused when they used the feeding tube while in the NICU. And the pacifier probably doesn't help things. We are getting back on track though. The biggest problem we have is that he will eat for about 5 minutes, and then he will fall asleep. It's a bit frustrating. He will take a bottle, and that is nice. Neither of the girls would take bottles or binky's.
When he is awake (and he isn't hungry) he is usually just looking around taking everything in. I love when he gets like that. Sometimes he will just stare at me and it is so cute!
He gets a MOHAWK everyday....which turns into a frohawk soon after, but it's pretty cute either way. We get a lot of comments on his hair. People just can't get over how much he has. We love hairy babies.
Brett and I have a system going on. Since he stays up later than I do, I feed Easton at about 10 & then go to bed. Brett has him until about 1 and then he brings him in to me for the rest of the night. He has been sleeping in my bed, but sometime this next week, I will be moving him to his crib....maybe.....we'll see if I feel like getting out of bed every two hours. I have officially assigned Brett weekend duty though.
I'm feeling pretty good. I am not nearly as tired as I expected to be. After I had Avery, I was exhausted!!!! I am just hoping it lasts. My recovery hasn't been as quick as it was with Avery though. I thought 'No Epidural' meant easier recovery, but it isn't so.
The girls love Easton! They love to wake up in the morning & just watch him. Everywhere I go, they follow us. Quinnlyn is proving to be a big help. She is always getting me things when I need them. Avery on the other hand is definitely feeling some change in the house. She is acting up more....listening less (is that possible?) and just whiny. Hopefully she will get over it soon.
This isn't a great picture, but Easton is always smiling in his sleep. Every night (especially while Brett is holding & talking to him), he will smile. It is so cute. He must be having really good dreams!
I am sad that Easton will keep getting bigger and older. I love his little chicken legs (which are totally identical to Brett's bow-legs....minus the hairiness)! We haven't determined who he looks like. Anyone have any opinions? It seems like he looks different in every picture I take, and even then, he looks different in real life too. Whoever he looks like, we think he is one cute little boy. I think we'll keep him.

He is darling! I can't want to hold him! I hope he and Jake are good buddies (when they get to see each other). The girls are looking forward to seeing your girls in a couple of months!

Kim he is ADORABLE! But of course you know that. I think he's a good mix of you and Brett. He looks like such a sweet little guy! I wish I could see him in person and hold him! I will be sending him a little something soon...will you give me your address again? Thanks and I hope all is well with you guys!
Can't wait to see him! I love all the pictures! Babies are so cute and fun! Can't wait to see you guys in a while!!!
He is just adorable! I think he looks alot like the two of you.
I hope you recover soon. You would think the less drugs the better the recovery.
He is definitely one adorable little boy. I know you are busy loving on him, but I was wondering when he will get to be added to your sidebar. :) Love all the pictures of him!
Wow, he definitely looks like Brett in the Boppy picture!
We think he looks like Quinny!! He really reminds us of her! He's pretty cute!!
He is perfect! Love all that hair! Why is it that the boys always get the thick locks? So glad things worked out and everyone is healthy. And don't worry I've felt like my recovery and getting my body back has taken longer this time too.
He is so adorable. and LOOK at all that hair. Such a little cutie. You did good!
