Since we didn't have money to go on a real summer vacation.....not to mention I was quite pregnant so traveling far from home was not an option for us, we decided to take a short trip to Great Wolf Lodge. The kids had a blast last time we went, and we all kind of needed a little break from our boring routine.
We made reservations for a regular family room (which is nothing fun, but it's the cheapest way to go), but at check-in, they upgraded us to the fun 'Wolf Den' that had a separate kids room with bunk beds and a TV. The girls loved it and it was a little more exciting than the room we originally reserved.
We spent most of our time at the indoor water park. The girls favorite was the wave pool, but they did go on slides now and then. Easton loved the water slides as well and was brave enough to go down all by himself. I didn't get to enjoy any water rides being pregnant and all, and most of the time I followed Easton around while he explored. I did enjoy watching the kids have so much fun though.
We bought the girls a game of 'MAGIQUEST' where they got wands and we walked around the hotel finding clues. It's like a scavenger hunt and the wands activate pictures, treasure chests, and more. It was fun for them.
