Easton

Easton
Easton is the cutest little boy we know! He rightfully earned the nickname 'BEASTY' when he was a baby and it has stuck with him. He is such a sweet little mommy's boy and we are ALL at his Beck and call. Easton loves cars, snacks, and playing outside. He is talking up a storm and it seems like he learns something new every single day. He is at such a fun age. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this little guy!

Ainslee

Ainslee
Ainslee is the baby and she just turned ONE!! This child is a handful!!! She hasn't quite grown out of the difficult phase.....that she has been in since she was born, but we still find ways to find her sweet side! Hearing her baby giggles and watching her discover & learn new things make all the whininess......just a little easier to deal with. Aaaahhh, we love this Ainslee Girl!!

Avery

Avery
Oh our cute little Avery! With her blue eyes & blonde hair, she is one of the cutest 4 year olds around!! This girl is stubborn! She definitely keeps us on our toes. She is quite unpredictable, which makes for a lot of laughs! Avery is our TREAT-FREAK! We can always guess what is on her mind. My favorite thing about Avery is her smiles. She always has one for us no matter what and that makes everyones day just a little better. She attends preschool and says she doesn't like it, but secretly we know she does ;). We are so lucky to have this cute girl in our family! We can't get enough of her.

Kobe Dylan

Kobe Dylan
Kobe is our first child, born in 2004. He was 4 months early and weighed a whopping 1 lb. 4 oz.! We got to be with Kobe for 4 wonderful weeks. I feel so blessed to have been chosen to raise one of God's perfect children. We love him and thank Heavenly Father everyday that he is part of our family. We have a treasure in heaven.

Quinnlyn

Quinnlyn
Quinnie just turned 6! She is growing faster than we can keep up with! She loves going to first grade and is doing really well! She picks up on things very quickly and LOVES learning. She's seriously a sponge. Her favorite thing to do is write notes and draw pictures for her friends & family. You should see our continual stack of papers. Quinnlyn is creative & spunky & totally independant. We love her like crazy!

3 months......

Feels like 3 minutes.....UNDER WATER!!! That is a joke Brett likes to tell when people ask how long we have been married. It definitely fits better in this case.

Ainslee. Oh Ainslee. I am speechless. I know she isn't the worst baby that anyone has ever dealt with, but it sure feels like it during those frequent times she cries....and cries....and cries. She is so high maintenance!!

Here is why:

  • She has never laid on the floor longer than 5 minutes without crying.
  • She wants to be held ALL the time if she is awake.
  • When she is being held, she wants to bounce, pace, walk around, etc. constantly.
  • Often times, even being held doesn't help.
  • We haven't found any sure thing that keeps her happy.
  • She only sleeps in her swing & bouncer.
  • She has been refusing to nurse for several daytime feedings so I have to pump and then feed it to her with a bottle.
  • Sometimes she will be sleeping just fine in our arms and the SECOND we put her down, her eyes are WIDE open.....and then she begins to cry.
  • She hates laying back and always wants to sit up.
  • She gags if we try giving her a pacifier.
  • She cries almost constantly between 8 pm and 10 pm no matter what we do.
  • I thought we were finally figuring out a schedule, but she decided this past week that she doesn't want anything to do with it.

On the other hand:

  • Her mornings are her most pleasant time.
  • She is smiling often and it melts all of our hearts. I live for those smiles. They remind me to enjoy her while I can!!
  • She coos & talks
  • She sleeps decent at night, eating once between 3am & 5am then sleeps until 8:30 am when I wake her up to take the kids to school.
  • She is getting stronger and is able to hold her head up well and stands like a champ.
  • Easton loves her so much and often stops what he is doing to pet her head and baby talk her.

Other things at 3 months:

  • She has tiny little feet that I just love.
  • Her toenails don't really grow. I have only cut her big toenails once since she was born.
  • Her finger nails grow pretty slow
  • She wears 0-3 months, but can wear 3-6 months even if it is a little big on her.
  • Still size 1 diapers.
  • Favorite outfit is anything I can pair with leggings. And her lace tights got rave reviews too :).
  • Her face is so round, but she isn't chunky at all. No rolls at all.
  • Her hair hasn't started falling out (crossing fingers that it never does)
  • Her eyes are getting more blue as the days go by.
  • She loves our black lamp in the corner of our living room and smiles at it all the time. In fact, her first smile was at that lamp. She also loves the black picture frame above our couch.
  • She's cute as can be (not sweet) and I am loving the lace, bows, and leggings that I get to dress her in.
  • Nicknames: Ains, Lady Girl, Sweety-Girl, Cutey-Girl, 'Your child' (when it is Brett's turn to hold her---haha)
Don't get me wrong. I love Ainslee so much. I know I will look back on this time and think "Eh.....it wasn't so bad". But right now it is so hard. I just want to enjoy her 'baby-ness' and it makes me sad that it just isn't enjoyable :(. She just needs a lot of extra loving. Maybe month number 4 will be a turning point.

FINGERS CROSSED!!!!

Enjoy some pictures of Ainslee....not crying :)

My favorite!!!

We love our Ains!!
