Easton

Easton
Easton is the cutest little boy we know! He rightfully earned the nickname 'BEASTY' when he was a baby and it has stuck with him. He is such a sweet little mommy's boy and we are ALL at his Beck and call. Easton loves cars, snacks, and playing outside. He is talking up a storm and it seems like he learns something new every single day. He is at such a fun age. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this little guy!

Ainslee

Ainslee
Ainslee is the baby and she just turned ONE!! This child is a handful!!! She hasn't quite grown out of the difficult phase.....that she has been in since she was born, but we still find ways to find her sweet side! Hearing her baby giggles and watching her discover & learn new things make all the whininess......just a little easier to deal with. Aaaahhh, we love this Ainslee Girl!!

Avery

Avery
Oh our cute little Avery! With her blue eyes & blonde hair, she is one of the cutest 4 year olds around!! This girl is stubborn! She definitely keeps us on our toes. She is quite unpredictable, which makes for a lot of laughs! Avery is our TREAT-FREAK! We can always guess what is on her mind. My favorite thing about Avery is her smiles. She always has one for us no matter what and that makes everyones day just a little better. She attends preschool and says she doesn't like it, but secretly we know she does ;). We are so lucky to have this cute girl in our family! We can't get enough of her.

Kobe Dylan

Kobe Dylan
Kobe is our first child, born in 2004. He was 4 months early and weighed a whopping 1 lb. 4 oz.! We got to be with Kobe for 4 wonderful weeks. I feel so blessed to have been chosen to raise one of God's perfect children. We love him and thank Heavenly Father everyday that he is part of our family. We have a treasure in heaven.

Quinnlyn

Quinnlyn
Quinnie just turned 6! She is growing faster than we can keep up with! She loves going to first grade and is doing really well! She picks up on things very quickly and LOVES learning. She's seriously a sponge. Her favorite thing to do is write notes and draw pictures for her friends & family. You should see our continual stack of papers. Quinnlyn is creative & spunky & totally independant. We love her like crazy!

Weekly update

What can I say that would interest you all? Probably nothing, but I will try anyway.

Last week was pretty slow (but this week is proving to be even slower). The girls and I had a little play date and that was our only social experience with the outside world (besides my grocery shopping). On Saturday, Brett studied at the school so I had to venture out on my own to go shopping. Me & the girls drove 30 minutes up to the north part of Indianapolis and discovered a much better area of Indianpolis. It made me feel like I was in St. George again. It wasn't so old and run down (which most of the area where we live, is). I liked it...too bad it is much to far away to visit very often. So, we checked out the Old Navy sale (pants $12 & $7) but didn't last too long because big huge crowds just overwhelm me. I also found a carter's but they weren't having any super great sales. We then ate lunch in the mall and afterwards drove to USA baby which was the whole reason for our trip. I got a free $25 gift certificate so I had to spend it. This is my free blanket...
isn't it cute? Not really necessary, but I liked it and there wasn't much else for $25 bucks. Saturday night Brett and I took the girls swimming and we had fun hangin' out.
Sunday I taught the 5 year-olds in primary. Yes that is my calling. I don't mind it except for the booger picking and farting...what is it with kids?
The week is a busy one for Brett. He has several tests, and a paper due. He will be staying late at the school probably every night so I am stuck with two screaming girls until bedtime. It's only tuesday afternoon, and I am already at the end of my rope. If I have to hear someone call me 'MOMMY' one more time I am going to scream (but it is inevitable because before Quinnlyn says ANYTHING, she has to say "Mommy?"

Quinni did say something so funny the other day. She threw a ball at Avery and Brett said: "If you do that again do you know what is going to happen?" Quinnlyn answered: "You will cut off my Uvula so you can wear two of them?" (the Uvula is the hangy ball in the back of your mouth in case you didn't know).Brett has been teaching her the anatomy of the mouth lately and as you can tell, she is listening quite well. It's a good thing she sometimes makes me laugh, because most of the time these days she pushes me to my limit!

We bought a cheap bat and ball at the dollar store and Quinnlyn played baseball for the first time. She was pretty good...actually hitting the ball several times.

Avery is her usual bossy self. Screaming at the top of her lungs when she doesn't get her way is what she is usually doing. Her new words this week are: Barbie, froggy, bite, treat, Ow!, cheese, cookies, eyes, hat, bonk(when she hits her head), thank-you, and her first sentence 'Hi Daddy' (if you consider that a sentence, but we do)

I am getting really nervous for winter to come along. Today we woke up and it was honestly cold outside....okay I say cold, Brett would maybe say chilly. Nonetheless, if the summer is this cool, the winter is going to be brutal! How awful.

Anyway, I think that is all for us. If I make it through this week, I deserve something special.

I think I am having the same kind of week--if we survive, or should I say, if our kids survive, we may get mom of the week awards!
Quinnie sure is smart!

I totally know how you feel about the "Mommy... Mommy!" thing! It drives me nuts too, and at the moment that's what I am hearing because Aaralyn wouldn't quit bugging the babies while they were trying to sleep so I told her if she didn't stop she'd have to go to time out in her room... well, she went to timeout! What do we have to do to get them to play nicely with their little siblings? Some days it just drives you insane!

Funny what Quinn said!

Oh Kim...good luck. Hang in there. You are going to meet some awesome friends and in four years when you are leaving, you'll cry. But I feel for you...during tax season I'm a single mom and it sucks, and i even have family around to help. I love the uvula story. Most adults don't even know what that is.
