Easton

Easton
Easton is the cutest little boy we know! He rightfully earned the nickname 'BEASTY' when he was a baby and it has stuck with him. He is such a sweet little mommy's boy and we are ALL at his Beck and call. Easton loves cars, snacks, and playing outside. He is talking up a storm and it seems like he learns something new every single day. He is at such a fun age. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this little guy!

Ainslee

Ainslee
Ainslee is the baby and she just turned ONE!! This child is a handful!!! She hasn't quite grown out of the difficult phase.....that she has been in since she was born, but we still find ways to find her sweet side! Hearing her baby giggles and watching her discover & learn new things make all the whininess......just a little easier to deal with. Aaaahhh, we love this Ainslee Girl!!

Avery

Avery
Oh our cute little Avery! With her blue eyes & blonde hair, she is one of the cutest 4 year olds around!! This girl is stubborn! She definitely keeps us on our toes. She is quite unpredictable, which makes for a lot of laughs! Avery is our TREAT-FREAK! We can always guess what is on her mind. My favorite thing about Avery is her smiles. She always has one for us no matter what and that makes everyones day just a little better. She attends preschool and says she doesn't like it, but secretly we know she does ;). We are so lucky to have this cute girl in our family! We can't get enough of her.

Kobe Dylan

Kobe Dylan
Kobe is our first child, born in 2004. He was 4 months early and weighed a whopping 1 lb. 4 oz.! We got to be with Kobe for 4 wonderful weeks. I feel so blessed to have been chosen to raise one of God's perfect children. We love him and thank Heavenly Father everyday that he is part of our family. We have a treasure in heaven.

Quinnlyn

Quinnlyn
Quinnie just turned 6! She is growing faster than we can keep up with! She loves going to first grade and is doing really well! She picks up on things very quickly and LOVES learning. She's seriously a sponge. Her favorite thing to do is write notes and draw pictures for her friends & family. You should see our continual stack of papers. Quinnlyn is creative & spunky & totally independant. We love her like crazy!

Our Turkey Day was HAPPY!

We had a really great Thankgsgiving this year even though we didn't get to come home & see any family. The Thompson's (our old neighbors in Washington) came down from Michigan to stay with us. They arrived Wednesday afternoon. The girls were excited to see some friends, & of course Brett & I always enjoy Nick & Clenece's company.

Thanksgiving went pretty smoothly! We even had success with the 13 pound Turkey! That was a very daunting task that I was officially in charge of. We stuffed it with lemon & fresh Herbs, rubbed butter all over the skin, & salt & peppered it. I even remembered to take the giblets out of BOTH ends ;). It was definitely not as hard as I was thinking! The trickiest part of our whole Thanksgiving was trying to find a place to put all the food. Our house definitely does not have the room neccessary for a big Thanksgiving meal!!! But we made do! Some day I will have my dream kitchen with room for 50 guests ;).

On our menu we had:
Turkey
Mashed Potatoes
NOODLES (which everyone graciously tried...and I'm pretty sure enjoyed)
Gravy
Homemade Rolls
Green Bean Casserole
Broccoli Salad (Thanks Jenalee)
Candied Yams (with extra marshmallows!! Thanks Clenece)
Stuffing (with sausage....mmmmm Thanks Jenalee)
Raspberry Danish dessert (Brett's 'must-have' for Thanksgiving)
A Veggie Tray
Raspberry Lemonade
2 Pumpkin Pies (Thanks Clenece)
2 Banana Cream Pies (Thanks Clenece)
Lemon Meringue Pie

Everything was DELICIOUS! And we had great company. Altogether, we had 6 adults & 4 kids (and 2 on the way...so really Clenece & I ate double....or atleast I DID!!) including our friends who live down the road.

Here are some pictures of our day:

A picture of one of the Place settings....simple but it turned out really cute. (Thanks Jenalee for letting me borrow your plates).

After Thanksgiving dinner, we all just sat around looking at the Black Friday Ads, seeing if we needed to fight the crowds for anything.

Nick & Clenece scopin' out their deals (this girl seriously spent ALL evening figuring out the best deals for her....she's too patient)

Avery's tuckered out after a long day

On Black Friday, Clenece & I headed out at 7:00 am to see if we could get any deals. We weren't desperate for anything, & we got a few things we wanted. We were home by 9:30. After the guys went and did....their manly things (their weekend consisted of trips to Best Buy), Clenece & I headed out again to see 'NEW MOON'. I found it comparable to Twilight (as far as acting goes.....I have a hard time with Bella) but we both enjoyed it. We then let the Thompson's experience Brett's Favorite place to eat here in Indy....GUANAJATO'S.

Saturday Nick was nice enough to help Brett put up some Christmas lights. I don't think I would've gotten Brett to do it alone, so THANK YOU to Nick for motivating my husband! Afterwards, the Thompsons headed home. We were sad to see them go. They get to move back home to Utah in April so this will be our last Thanksgiving with them....and probably the last time we see them until our visit home during the summer. It's been so nice knowing they are only 3.5 hours away. The good news, is them moving home means we have only 2 more years left. That's exciting!

So we had a fun & eventful weekend. We have SOOOOO much to be thankful for this year. Our family, great friends, our health, Brett's opportunity to go to school, my opportunity to stay home with our children, the new baby on the way, and soo much more!!!!! We are truly blessed!

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

It looks like you had a fun Thanksgiving! I would like to try your noodle idea sometime. It sounds interesting. You said that you made danish dessert. Do make the danish dessert from the box? If so, where do you buy it? I can't find it anywhere here in Indiana.

We ALL had so much fun while we were there! Thanks for putting up with us, and making our stay so much fun! Hopefully we will get to see you guys before we move away!

Wow you are amazing! I can't believe you made all that stuff! I was so lazy this Thanksgiving and could barely help cause I was so sick. How fun to have your friends come and all the fun things you guys did with them.

looks like you had a great thanksgiving even though you couldn't be with family. friends are the family we get to choose :) I agree about the movie. i wasn't that impressed. maybe its just the fact that the books are always better in our minds than the movie could ever be!

How fun! I'm sure it makes it lots better to at least spend Thanksgiving with some "adopted" family. Holidays are hard not living by family, I'm dying thinking that I won't be with my family on Christmas.
