I’m doing it! I am going on a 7 day Raw Foods diet. I found an excellent website called The Raw Divas that is going to get me through it.
I have to blog about it so everyone knows I am doing it. Otherwise I could easily quit (like everything else I try). So
I AM DOING IT!!
Day 1-24 hour WATER FAST-
I did pretty well on this one. I started yesterday at 6:00 PM & finished at 6:00 this evening with a meal of Cantaloupe, an apple, some grape tomatoes, & a small handful of nuts. Technically, I was only suppose to choose 1 kind of fruit and eat as much as I wanted….but I wasn’t sure I could sit and eat a whole melon and that is it. The almonds weren’t planned, but I needed something substantial.
I started feeling the cravings when I sat and watched my family eat Mcdonald’s tonight. That was a little difficult. I really really want some carbs-----rolls, biscuits, crackers etc. but I’m not giving in. It’s not too terrible yet.
It is said that whenever I am craving something, it means that type of food is being ‘detoxed’ out of my body. So maybe, just maybe I am getting rid of all those carbs!!??
The next 6 days I will just be eating raw food. Raw meaning Fruits & Veggies that haven’t been cooked. I get to eat as much as I want but only when I am truly hungry. Also I am to limit any fats (oils, avocados, and yes….Nuts ) but preferably none at all. My fridge is full of Fruits and Veggies and I am excited.
Here goes…

no breads, grains or rice? Wow, that'd be hard. Good luck, let us know how the end result goes.

Good luck . . . and why are you doing this? No carbs would put be over the edge and I think my family would suffer ;-)
